“Do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery” Galatians 5:1

December 28, 2019 Reading Time: < 1 minute

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1; NIV)

Finally released… Which ex-prisoner would voluntarily go back to the prison cell?

So: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1; NIV)

By accepting your sanctification through the sacrifice of Jesus, you are no longer a sinner, but a saint (who unfortunately still sins from time to time). But you are on the way: “For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures.” (Titus 2:11-12; NLT)

Jesus transforms us from sinners to saints so that God can say this about us: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” (God in Hebrews 10:17; NIV) • You are God’s righteousness in Jesus Christ… What does that mean?

Of course we make an effort, but it is not our effort of will, but it is the Holy Spirit given to us that works through us: “So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18; NLT)

Isaiah 40:30-31

Don’t get tired. No matter how far you have to go through need and distress. Hold on; this is for you:

“You wearied yourself by such going about, but you would not say, ‘It is hopeless.’ You found renewal of your strength, and so you did not faint.” (Isaiah 57:10; NIV)

  • Where does our strength come from? In quietness and confidence in God’s help
  • Alcohol, joints, pills, demonically inspired doctrines? Or God

Why should you give up now? The mighty, almighty Almighty is at your side. So don’t give up.

God makes known to you the path of life

December 12, 2019 Reading Time: < 1 minute

Psalm 16:8-11 (NIV)

It’s like this: The more you place God and your personal relationship with Him at the center of your thinking, the more everything flows into your life. King David knew this and sought God’s closeness again and again:

“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” (Psalm 16:8-11; NIV)

  • What does it mean to be declared righteous?
  • I don’t move mountains. I bring no dead to life. I just believe in You, my mighty Jesus

Say (!) this: I am God’s righteousness thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus.

You won’t give up today. You won’t give up tomorrow. You will never give up

December 2, 2019 Reading Time: < 1 minute

Do not give up. God is not giving up on you.

Sometimes we can be in the tunnel of financial lack for a long time. Remember, nothing is impossible for our God (“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” – Jeremiah 32:27; NIV). He can change any situation. Therefore, do not let anything or anyone, no illness, no medical diagnosis, take your eyes off of God. Stay steadfast in your faith in God.

  • “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13; NIV)
  • “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10; NLT)
  • “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'” (Jeremiah 29:11; NIV) • God has plans of good for you

Our God is bigger with His help than any bank statement.
Our God is greater in healing than any x-ray.
Trust Him.

Say (!) this: God loves me. God helps me. I trust Him.
