Spring is here. The birds are singing. The sun is shining. And after a long, dark winter, you can enjoy the days again.

Or…?

What if we can’t hear the songs the birds are singing over our loud weeping?
What if the sunshine doesn’t bring light into our darkness?
What if the longer days only bring more pain, heartache and suffering?

We cannot put our hope in the world. We cannot look to the world to save us.

As beautiful as chirping birds, sunshine and spring flowers are, our hearts need more. Our hearts need Jesus.

God created us to live in communion with Him

God wants us to enjoy His creation. But He also knows that creation cannot fulfill us. Only the Creator can do that.

“He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:17; New International Version)

Just as Jesus holds all creation together, so He holds your life together. This mighty Jesus holds you in His strong hands. He is strong and yet gentle at the same time. He is omniscient and yet at the same time wants to hear about all your worries, fears, hopes and desires. He is God and yet at the same time your best friend.

He want to enjoy each day in communion with you.

Are you saved?

How about you? Have you accepted this wonderful gift yet? Do not wait. You can be saved today and reconciled to God for all eternity. You can learn more here:

Don’t give up. It will get better

I lost my brother to suicide. How I wish someone had told him, “Don’t give up. It’s going to get better.”

I don’t know what you are going through today, but I do know that there is no situation so hopeless that suicide is the solution. Even if you think you’ll never laugh again… Even if you think you’ll never be happy again… Even if you think God will never help you…

It will get better again.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13; NIV)

⇒ And if it’s all too much and you’re in danger of going under, pick up the phone and call the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline service. Their number is 988. The call is free. Talking helps.

You will be able to laugh again. You will look forward to things again. You will be able to believe again. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday you’ll be able to enjoy your life again.

Trust your God. He’s holding you with both hands.
