“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8; NIV)
“Jesus went throughout Galilee … healing every disease and sickness among the people.” (Matthew 4:23; NIV)
Jesus healed every disease and sickness among the people. Does Jesus still heal today?
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless…” (Matthew 9:36; NIV)
Jesus had compassion. Does Jesus still have compassion today?
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
“When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. ‘It’s a ghost,’ they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’” (Matthew 14:26-27; NIV)
Does Jesus still say today, “Take courage… don’t be afraid” when we are plagued by fear?
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
“Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’ Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.” (Matthew 14:29-31)
When we are drowning in our worries, fears and problems, does Jesus still immediately reach out His hand and catch us?
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (Jesus in John 10:10; NIV)
Does Jesus still take care of His flock today? Despite inflation?
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
This glorious Jesus
This glorious Jesus that we read about in the Bible is always the same. You see what I did with this article. I quoted Scriptures about Jesus to show you that this glorious Jesus, who blessed, provided for and loved people so much that crowds ran after Him some 2,000 years ago, is the same today (and will be the same tomorrow as well).
So no matter what you’re going through today (and sometimes life can be tough), you can find hope, loving care, and unwavering love in Jesus.
Build your faith by reading about Jesus. And another idea: Every time you read about how Jesus performed a miracle, say: “This Jesus is always the same – yesterday, today and forever.”
- Why did Jesus die? – Galatians 2:21
- God gave you Jesus; He’ll gladly give you everything else, too – Romans 8:32
Does Jesus still forgive sins today?
Here is one more Scripture I want to add to this list:
“When Jesus saw their faith, he said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven.'” (Luke 5:20).
Does Jesus still forgive sins today? Does Jesus still want to save people today and reconcile them to God?
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
How can I be saved?
If you haven’t accepted Jesus’ saving hand, what are you waiting for? You can be saved from hell today and be reconciled to God for all eternity. You can enjoy a new life today with the assurance of your salvation. You can be sealed with the Holy Spirit today. You can have a beautiful, personal, never-ending relationship with God, starting today.
How? Like this: “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9; New International Version)
Prayer for Salvation
You don’t have to go to church to pray this prayer.
You don’t have to kneel to pray this prayer.
You don’t have to stop smoking, drinking, masturbating to pray this prayer.
You can pray this prayer right now, wherever you are, and suddenly everything will be different.
Say (!) this: Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that You died for me on the cross to take away all my sins.
And I believe that You rose from the dead, so that if I accept You as my Savior, I too will live with You forever.
I’m sorry, Jesus, for all the mistakes I made. Thank You for taking the punishment that I deserved for my sins, so that I may be clean and pure before God as freshly fallen snow.
Come into my life, Jesus, and lead me on the path that God has planned for me. I thank You, Jesus. (or in your own words)
If you have prayed this prayer, welcome to the family of God! ⇒ You may also be interested in: 5 things that don’t happen when you accept Jesus as your Savior
