1 John 5:4 Meaning

December 11, 2018 Reading Time: < 1 minute

We still live in this world (and despite the demonic distortion, it is glorious), but we no longer belong to the world. We belong to Jesus. We have God (the Holy Spirit is a person of the Divine Trinity) in us. And our faith is the mighty power with which we can conquer all distress and tribulation victoriously believing:

“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.” (1 John 5:4; NLT)

Children of God defeat the enemy - 1 John 5:4 (NLT)

Don’t listen to what your body and soul say, but believe what God says about your spirit (your true self) — and He says that if you’re born again, you are holy, blameless, righteous, healed (yes, also physically), provided for, living in abundance.

That’s what you do with faith. Your faith is the power of victory. And what do you believe? You believe what God and Jesus promise you in the Bible. Protection. Safety, care, healing, goodness, grace and joy of life.

Matthew 9:29 (NIV)

Don’t see the healing yet? Keep believing. Don’t see the provision yet? Keep believing. The Bible says it will happen to you according to your faith.
