Jesus in John 14:16-17 (NIV)

We are sealed in our true self, our spirit; no devil and no demon can possess a true Jesus-believer. Because they know they can’t possess a Christian, the more they rage and derail our thoughts and feelings with their evil mind games (which we shouldn’t take up and think through). Instead, we fill our minds and thoughts with God’s wonderful Word, which encourages us, lifts us up and speaks truth to us.

Forever sealed with the Holy Spirit

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth …” (Jesus in John 14:16-17; NIV)

The seal of the Holy Spirit also means that we belong to God. We no longer belong to fear, no longer belong to the distress and tribulation of this world. But we belong to God, to His power and might and possibilities. And we belong to His glorious plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11). • Answer to prayer. Are you just hoping or are you believing?
