Anxiety causes so much evil in our lives. Fear never comes from God; God does not scare us. The devils and demons throw anxious thoughts into our lives. And we are the ones who take up such thoughts, which literally rob us of our sleep.

What does God say? Hundreds of times He tells us that we need not fear because He cares for us and because He cares about us.

“When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.” (Proverbs 3:24-26; NIV)

Don’t think anxious thoughts when you lie in bed tonight. Instead, think of your loving God. You do not have to worry. Hand over your worries to God. ‘Here,’ you may well say, ‘Take care of it. For me, this is too much. And I thank You for helping me.’

Have a pleasant night’s rest.
