“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6; NIV)
God is never too busy for you. He isn’t limited by time and space like us humans are. He is infinite, and even though He’s making flowers bloom, painting sunsets in the sky, and giving birds a song to sing, He is waiting for you to come to Him with all of your needs, requests, complaints, wishes, desires, praises and dreams. He longs to have daily fellowship with you and carry your burdens. The devil will tell you: God’s already done so much; don’t bother Him with this. Take care of this yourself.
But nothing could be further from the truth — after all, the devil is the father of lies.
Even if it’s a pimple on your face that’s bothering you, God cares. If your pet is sick and it needs healing, God cares. If you worry about a big presentation at work tomorrow, God cares. If you’re going in for a job interview for a position you really want, God cares.
As the verse in Philippians says: in every situation. There isn’t a single situation that you can’t bring before God. And we can bring our requests to Him with thanksgiving because we know that He loves us, He cares for us, He makes all things work together for our good, and that He already has a solution planned that we might not even see yet. Just believe Him.
