What is God like? - Psalm 35:10 (NIV)

“My whole being will exclaim, ‘Who is like you, Lord? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them.'” (Psalm 35:10; NIV)

What is God like? We can see God’s heart through Jesus. Everywhere He went, Jesus had a heart to heal the sick, care for the poor, and heal the brokenhearted.

In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus says, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (NIV)

Jesus is the Image of the invisible God

Colossians 1:15, 19 says, “The Son is the image of the invisible God … For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him” (NIV)

If you ever question what God is like, you can read about Him in the Bible. And you can see God’s will and heart in action in Jesus. The Bible says that great multitudes followed Him and He healed them all (see Matthew 12:15). When parents of sick or demon-possessed children came to Him, Jesus’ heart was moved with compassion. And God the Father is the same way. He loves you, He cares for you, and He is almighty and able to help you. Just ask Him for help; He’ll gladly help you.
