We think that God is with us when we are well, and far away when we are in pain or in trouble. But this is wrong. God is always with us — helping us, guiding us, empowering us.1!
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
(God in Isaiah 41:10; KJV)
No matter where you are right now, as Jesus’ lamb you are always under God’s mercy and grace. That goes for the times when everything is going well for you. And it goes for the times when distress and trouble surround you.
