Ephesians 4:24 - The New Nature

Devils and demons can keep us busy as long as we don’t want to admit our true identity as newborn Christians.

“Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.”

(Ephesians 4:24; NLT)

What does God say in His Word? We are created in His image (Genesis 1:26; Genesis 2:7). In our true self, our spirit, we are created in God’s image (don’t let any devils or demons convince you otherwise).

But it gets even better: if we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are righteous and holy before God (Colossians 1:22); we stand in God’s truth. Forever sealed with the Holy Spirit.

We are no longer dependent on earthly-worldly offerings; we have the son of God. We became God’s daughter or God’s son. It cannot get any better than that.

What does need to become better is our understanding of this glorious identity, so that we live in this new identity, which belongs to us as a daughter or son of God, more and more every day.
