Jesus in Matthew 9:29 (NIV)

Many Christians wonder why somehow nothing is changing for the better in their lives. Not infrequently, the cause is that they hope that God will help them, but they don’t believe it.

God does not respond to our needs. Everyone in the world has needs. Look out the window. Do you have the impression that people’s needs for health, joy, wisdom, financial support are fulfilled?

God responds to faith.

What is faith? This:

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1; NIV)

How firmly are you (already) convinced of God’s help in your life?

Believe. Don’t hope

God’s kingdom is all about faith. Believe: “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” (Psalm 23:1; NIV) Do you believe that you receive from God everything you need? Health, joy of life, money, wisdom, strength and security? Do you believe? Or do you just hope that God’s promises are true for you?

Believe. Don’t doubt

Believe without a doubt. Because it is like this: “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.” (James 1:6-8)

How do you build your faith?

How do you build and strengthen your faith? Quite simply, read more Bible: “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2; KJV)

What should you read? For example, the Gospel of John. There you will get to know Jesus better and understand more and more what He has done (also for you). • The highest priority? Faith
