2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NIV)

All the problems that are haunting us today are just temporary. What harasses us today is no longer important tomorrow. What we like today, bores us tomorrow. The junkyards are full of former metal dreams, from which people promised lasting happiness.
What worried us yesterday is soon no longer an issue.

We fix our eyes on Jesus; not on our temporary problems

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18; NIV)

Everything you see in this world is temporary (transitory). Your beautiful car… temporary. Your illness… temporary. Your sadness… temporary.

What you don’t see right now: God, Jesus, Heaven… that will last forever.

Where is your focus? On things that are temporary and transient? Or on the immortal that will last forever?
