Diseases do not come from God. People who think God is punishing them with sickness have a false image of God. God doesn’t send illnesses. God sends Jesus. And He literally healed anyone who came across His path and was sick.
“When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases” (Luke 9:1; NIV)
He also gave the disciples the task of healing the sick. Jesus would never break God’s will. For example, if Jesus gave His disciples the power and the mission to heal diseases, it was not because Jesus used His disciples against the will of God, but on the contrary: God wants you to be healthy. – Do not let anyone persuade you otherwise.
God is not the one who makes you sick. God is the one who heals you: “I am the Lord, who heals you.” (God in Exodus 15:26; NIV) ● Like God the Father, so is our Jesus. “and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.” (Luke 6:19; NIV)
Is your health more valuable than Jesus?
God “who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32; NIV). He also gives you health.
Comprehensive health. More than you can imagine: “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20) Do you believe that?
