Don’t let your true self, your spirit created in God’s image, be dominated by your soul and body

August 16, 2018 Reading Time: < 1 minute

Psalm 73:26 (NIV)

The feelings in your soul whine and just don’t want to forget the bad experiences from the past. Your body whines: And I’m getting old. Everything is hurting.

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:26; NIV)

Your job as a Jesus-Lamb is, through faith, to tell the soul (feelings, memories, emotions) and the body what God says (like that you are healed, not hurting; that your youth is renewed), not vice versa. Your body may moan, your feelings in the soul may be sad and desperate, but you rely on God who is your Rock, believing that you belong to Him forever and ever.
