The Lord has removed our sins from us

May 24, 2017 Reading Time: 2 minutes

Do not let anything separate you any longer from your loving Heavenly Father. God has done everything so that you do not have to go to hell. Your perfect and everlasting reconciliation is offered to you by your Heavenly Father in and with Jesus: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV).

How far is the east from the west? Very far.

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. And inbetween? We sin, unfortunately — again and again. Sins are not good. Sins hurt us. Sins hurt us and others. How much suffering is caused, for example, by pornography. Because sins harm us, God tell us not to sin.

Since we sin again and again, God offers the forgiveness of all our sins through Jesus.

Whoever accepts Jesus (who took all the punishment our sins deserved) as their Savior is free from all condemnation, and receives no punishment for their sins. Whoever believes in Jesus as their Savior is now forever reconciled with God (John 10:27-29). “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12).

That’s how much God loves us.

It was prophetically announced about 700 years before the birth of Jesus, “You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.” (Micah 7:19, NIV)

Think about this: If God does not remember your sins anymore (“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” – God in Hebrews 8:12) and will not accuse you of your sins because around 2,000 years ago, Jesus took care of our sins once and for all, why do you still turn your back on God and get depressed looking at your sins rather than looking at God and Jesus full of gratefulness and joy?

It is time that you recognize your true identity as a believer in Jesus. You are no longer a sinner who still needs to be forgiven. Instead, you are a saint (who unfortunately sins from time to time) and joyfully thanks God, who forgave all of your sins.

It is time for you to accept the grace God gave you with gratitude. For it is the consciousness of this grace, which you have been given, that will change you more and more for the better. Sin consciousness has never helped. Sin consciousness leads you away from God. Grace-consciousness, on the other hand, leads you more and more to God, from Whom all help and blessings flow more and more into your life.
