God does not change. What has changed is the covenant He has made with us humans.

At the time of the Old Covenant, which God had made with man, animal sacrifices had to be made again and again, so that the sins of men were washed away with the shed blood.

The New Covenant changed everything. Jesus is the ultimate sacrificial lamb. His shed blood purifies all men from all their sins. You just have to accept it gratefully.

“to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.” (Hebrews 12:24; NIV)

Ephesians 1:7

He who accepts Jesus as his Savior is no longer under the curse of sins. He is free and able to spend eternity with God in paradise. Hell no more.

What is the crux of the matter when it comes to Jesus? Not some doctrine, not loving others as yourself, not philosophy; It is the blood of Jesus. If Jesus had not been treated as a perfect sacrifice as our representative, we would have no way of escaping from hell (eternal separation from God), but Jesus has the door to heaven for every man who accepts Him as his Savior and Lord “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” (Ephesians 1:7; NIV)

The shed blood of Jesus is washing everyone who believes this from all sins. No Jesus believer is ever to fear more judgment or punishment from God: “Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!” (Romans 5:9; NIV)
