Calling to God for help

July 27, 2017 Reading Time: 2 minutes

Every one of us can use help. Some more than others. Sometimes urgently, and sometimes very urgently.

Who are you calling for help? The lottery, because you need money? The daily horoscope in the newspaper because you are afraid of the future? Some angels or Mary?

Contact the highest authority directly

Would you talk to the gardener when you can talk directly to the castle owner? Talk to the doorman when the owner of the mansion is waiting for you? Since you do not have to be afraid of God, and since Jesus has cleared away all obstacles for you, there is nothing blocking you from God. So you should go directly to the highest and only effective source.

“I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.” (Psalm 57:2; NLT)

Go straight to the highest source. Because only there, everything that you need is available. Only with God will you get powerful and comprehensive help at the right time. Rarely too early, but never too late. Not always according to your timing, but according to God’s schedule. And He’s always perfect.

Psalm 52:7: "I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me." (NLT)

This is one of the many glorious promises we receive from God: “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20; NLT)

We are not left alone

The moment we accepted Jesus as our Savior, our true self, our spirit, is sealed with the Holy Spirit. We are no longer left alone; We are no longer spiritual orphans, but God is always with us. You do not have to feel this closeness; You “just” have to believe it. And you can believe it, because no one less than Jesus promises you: “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” (Jesus in John 14:18-20; NIV)

So, talk to Jesus. Thank Him that He will help you better than you can imagine. Give Him your worries and fears so He can take care of it. Jesus loves to do this because He loves you so much and wants to keep everything bad from you.

Have a wonderful day in this certainty.
