If you have a prayer request and God does not fulfill it, then the following process is helpful to make sure that your request is good for you:
Tell God to take away your desire if it’s not in accordance with His will for you. You will notice: Either the desire remains, and then wait, full of faith, for God to accomplish it (and develop your personal relationship with Him more and more). Or the wish evaporates. You don’t even think about it anymore (as much, at first anyways) and then the wish completely disappears from your radar.
Moses kept asking God for his wish. God’s answer to Moses: “‘That is enough,’ the Lord said. ‘Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.'” (Deuteronomy 3:26; NIV) Clear helpful message. Unfulfilled prayer. God: “That is enough! Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.”
So you can say to God, If my desire is not in accordance with Your will, let me know. Just as You told Moses that he should no longer pursue his desire, so please tell me too. I thank You for Your help (or, of course, in your own words).
