God does not want you to suffer from insomnia or sleeplessness. God also doesn’t want your dreams to be full of fear, anxiousness or worries. He wants your sleep to be sweet, and for you to get refreshed physically as you rest. Here are three Bible verses to strengthen your faith:
Psalm 4:8
Are you scared of something bad happening while you sleep? Memorize this verse and remind yourself that God makes you dwell in safety.
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” (NIV)
Proverbs 3:24
Not only can you rest assured that God makes you dwell in safety when you sleep, but God also wants your sleep to be sweet. See this verse from Proverbs:
“When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.” (KJV)
Psalm 127:2
“It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.” (NLT)
Of course, God wants you to work. But even your work should be done out of rest, not out of anxiousness or toil. God gives rest to His loved ones — emotional rest, as well as physical rest.
