Insomnia and God

June 25, 2017 Reading Time: < 1 minute

God wants you to sleep well and peacefully. To recover. And start tomorrow morning full of energy, into a new day, where God is at your side again with all His love and grace.

Insomnia does not come from God. God no longer punishes you as a born-again Christian. The devil, on the other hand, is a thief; he also steals your sleep – if you let him. Jesus calls the devil a thief; Jesus says: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10; NIV)

David said it like this when he laid down to sleep: “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8; NIV)

Be like David. Think that God will give protect you and make you dwell in safety, so you can sleep peacefully.

Say out loud what God is saying to you: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (God in Isaiah 41:10; NIV) – And say this: ‘Insomnia demon, disappear in the name of Jesus Christ from my life – Now!’
