People make many gods and idols and worship everything possible. God makes it clear that only He is God.
No matter which gods and idols it may be, no one can be compared to the mighty Almighty God.
“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.” (Deuteronomy 10:17-18; NIV)
So that it cannot be overlooked, God also clarifies it elsewhere:
“… so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior.” (God in Isaiah 43:10-11; NIV)
