It’s not about us sitting back passively and indulging in laziness. It’s about putting our priorities in the right order. God first; His wisdom first and not earthly-worldly strategies.

Ephesians 3:20

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”(Ephesians 3:20; NLT)

When problems arise

Money problems? Is God your first thought as your provider?
Annoying letter in the mailbox? Is God your first thought as your helper?
Illness? Is God your first thought as your healer?

A house built on the rock

Jesus points out: “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Jesus in Matthew 7:24; NIV) How do we benefit from this? This is how: “The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” (Jesus in Matthew 7:25; NIV)

Build your home on the safe rock of Jesus. Read about Jesus in the Bible (you can read John’s Gospel again and again). Talk to Jesus and ask for guidance, insight and help. Rely on the faith that God can and will do infinitely more for you than you can imagine.
