We weren’t able to do anything to make God save us from hell. Our salvation and reconciliation with God is an undeserved gift; None of us has done anything to deserve for God to let us into heaven; None of us can boast of any deed that would have justified us before God (“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9; NIV).

What Jesus does for us

And just how we can do nothing to be saved, we can do nothing to undo our new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) in Jesus. Saved is saved. Whoever truly accepted Jesus as their Savior is now, in their true self, their spirit that was made in the image of God, (Genesis 1:26, Genesis 2:7) sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13), Who, according to Jesus, will never leave us again (John 14:16).

God’s grace for you, which came into the world with Jesus (John 1:17) is greater than any sin you (unfortunately still) commit. “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him” (Psalm 103:11; NIV).

Become aware of this tremendous, loving grace with which God meets you, and your life will change for the better in all areas.

Psalm 103:11

When you see and believe the loving grace of God for you, then all fears and sorrows and doubts have to yield to it more and more.

It is faith that overcomes the natural and worldly: “for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5:4; NIV) And what do we believe? All the glorious promises of God for us is what we believe.
