God owns all gold and all silver. Haggai 2:8 says: “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” (NLT)
Wealth comes from God.
“Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.” (1 Chronicles chapter 29, verse 12; NLT)
Is money evil?
We also don’t find any verse in the Bible where money or wealth are made out to be something evil or condemnable. The thing that is bad is the love of money, greed (see 1 Timothy 6:10).
