It is equally sad as it is unnecessary. Although Jesus has promised us that He will not leave us as orphans (“I will not leave you as orphans” — Jesus in John 14:18; NIV), many believers in Jesus still believe the lie that they are alone here on earth, and God and Jesus are far away somewhere in heaven. No, God and Jesus are always and forever close to us. Even as you read these lines, God and Jesus are close to you.

Connected to God thanks to Jesus

As Jesus-believers, we are closely connected with God through Jesus, who is in the Father. “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me?” (Jesus in John 14:10; NIV)

Is today the day when you realize that you are not alone here on earth, but part of an unbreakable unity of God and Jesus and you? “On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” (Jesus in John 14:20; NIV)

God does not leave us

So don’t let the devil steal the joys of your glorious spiritual intimacy with God and Jesus through confusion and disinformation. Believe what you do not always have to feel: God is with you. Always. And, of course, all His help and blessing: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (God in Hebrews 13:5; NIV)
