When Jesus thinks of you, then He sees your healthy body, healed and whole, free of all pain and all scars.
When Jesus thinks of you, He sees your laughter jumping through the days.
When Jesus thinks of you, He smiles and is filled with joy because of you.
When Jesus thinks of you, He sees all lack, sadness and despair far, far away from you.
How can you love us like this? Well. I do. And I will for all of eternity. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (Jesus talking about His death on the cross in John 15:13; NIV)
When Jesus thinks of you now, He wants you to be in His health, in His abundance, in His love, and not to pursue doubts and worries.
When Jesus thinks of you, He rejoices over you.
When Jesus thinks of you, then He knows that everything was worth it so that you can be with Him forever. All the blows, all the kicks, all the whips, all the contempt, all the laughter, all He has borne, was worth it because you are now reconciled with him forever. Nothing and no one can ever take you away. You belong to Him and will for all eternity.
Jesus likes you so much.
And He’s always there. He’s there when you laugh. He’s there when you cry. He’s there when you cannot go on anymore. It is He who makes everything, everything, everything good for you.
When Jesus thinks of you now, He is glad that you trust Him.
When Jesus thinks of you, then He sees you safe and whole, free from all lack, free from all pain, free from all bondage, free from everything others have done to you, or from what you have done to yourself.
This is your Jesus, who allowed Himself to be beaten and kicked and laughed at and spit on and executed, this is your most loving Jesus: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12; NIV)
Jesus has carried everything so that you can be free from all burdens. There is no greater love. You will not find greater love in the entire universe for all of eternity. This is your Jesus. And He smiles because He thinks of you.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)
