Who closed the door of Noah's ark?

Ever wondered who closed the door of Noah’s ark? The Bible gives us a very clear answer:

Genesis 7:16 says, “The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord shut him in.” (NIV, emphasis added by me)

Don’t you think that when God closes a door, it really is shut? Much like Noah and his family were safe from the flood in the ark, we are safe in Christ. In a similar way, when we accepted Christ, God sealed our spirit (which is our true self) with His Holy Spirit (see Ephesians 1:13). As a true Jesus-believer, you can never be demon-possessed.

What blessed assurance we have in Christ. Even in the Old Testament story of Noah’s ark, God was foreshadowing the redemptive and finished work of Christ.
