God never left us in the dark about His plans. Right at the beginning of human history, when our ancestors Adam and Eve fell for the devil’s lies, God announced in a prophecy the coming of Jesus and the end of the devil. Throughout the Bible, there were always prophecies and clues to the first coming of Jesus.
Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, the prophecies of Isaiah said that God would lay “a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation” in Zion; “the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.” (Isaiah 28:16; NIV).
- How to get saved, according to the Bible
- What does the Bible say about hell? We only have this lifetime to choose heaven or hell.
The statements in God’s word leave no doubt about this: A person stumbles into hell if they don’t accept Jesus as their Savior in this lifetime. Jesus is the stumbling block to decide whether someone goes to heaven or hell.
