Religion tries to get people to believe the lie: do not sin, then God loves you. But that man-made religion does not spread the truth about God and His character. Because God loves us, even when we were still sinners: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8; NIV)
And since we have faithfully accepted the finished work of Jesus for us, in our true self, our Spirit created in God’s image (Genesis 1:26; Genesis 2:7), thanks to Jesus, we are saints and no longer sinners. “But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation” (Colossians 1:22; NIV)
