Of course, God-hostile forces are trying everything in their power to confuse us and torpedo our relationship with God. How do we recognize false prophets? How do we recognize who is really on God’s side?
“This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God” (1 John 4:2; NIV)
Whoever says without ifs, ands or buts that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man and came into this world to cleanse us from all our guilt, belongs to God.
Do not let any doubts creep in. Here is the simple test: “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9; NIV)
