At the end of the millennial reign of Christ, when the devil (who was locked up for 1,000 years) is briefly released again and once again seduces millions of people to disobey God and Jesus, he and the sinful people following him are defeated.
Their destination: The “fiery lake of burning sulfur”, also known as hell.

Then the “New Jerusalem”, the real capital of God’s Kingdom of Heaven, comes down from heaven to earth.

How this city is created by God can be found in Revelation 21:9-17, and also Revelation 22:1-5.

There we also learn how big this “New Jerusalem” is, namely 1,400 miles wide, 1,400 miles long and 1,400 miles high.

That’s roughly the driving distance from Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, TX.

And then from Austin, TX to Winnipeg, Canada.

But that’s not all. It is also still 1,400 miles into the air.

Unimaginable when we think of the size of these earthly cities. But we have it with the capital of God’s Kingdom.
