Recently, on a call with a reader, the lady said something very true: It happens according to our fears; or it happens according to our faith.

Realize that your faith has power — both when we believe that bad things will happen (fear) and when we believe the glorious promises of our God for blessings, well-being, health and protection.

Expect God’s sweeping blessings in all areas of your life (Mark 10:29-30).

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1; NIV)

If you expect bad, it will happen

Learn from Job. What he feared came upon him: “What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.” (Job 3:25; NIV) • Did Job’s sufferings come from God? No. The Book of Job explained

So think of God; do not worry or be afraid. Focus on God’s glorious promises.
