Psalm 37:4 (NLT)

People look for happiness, fulfillment and satisfaction anywhere they can. More money, more sex, more success, more recognition … more alcohol, more drugs … you can waste a whole life with it and never really be happy and find that soothing inner peace.

“Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God.” (Psalm 146:5; NIV).

If we place God at the center of our thinking, as we let more and more of Him flow from us, then more and more happiness, contentment, and inner peace will arise. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (Jesus in John 14:27; NIV)

We also realize that happiness is a by-product of our personal relationship with God. “Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.” (Psalm 37, verse 4; NLT).

Say to God: Help me, my God, that I develop my personal relationship with you more and more every day, including today (or, of course, in your words).
